DESCRIPTION

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in an operational role in civil construction, who undertake a prescribed range of tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental knowledge, in a defined context working under supervision.

DURATION

For participants with no previous experience, ISAustralia Jobcentral offers this course over a period of 16 weeks.

Training is from 8.00am to 4.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

This duration will be increased or decreased dependent on the participant’s previous experience, the modes of delivery and the number of units to be completed.

Any change to the course duration is determined through a comprehensive pre-enrolment interview with ISAustralia Jobcentral to identify the specific needs of each participant as well as aligning with the Australian Quality Framework and training package requirements.

PRE-REQUISITES AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no Pre-Requisites or Entry Requirements for this course.

ISAustralia Jobcentral requires that participants must attend with, as a minimum, the following Personal Protective Equipment including Hi-Vis Clothing, Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Safety Gloves and Sun Protection.

Participants must possess basic English language literacy and numeracy skills to be enrolled in this course.

Failure to comply with the above will result in the participant being unable to participate.

For those participants who do not have a White Card, a one-day course covering the unit “CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry” will be conducted for a fee of $110 per participant. Participants will receive an additional Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of this unit.

PRIOR TO ENROLMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES

Prior to enrolment, in addition to providing the participant with information regarding suitable course/s, course content, mode/s of delivery and assessment, pre-requisites and entry requirements, course fees, payment terms and conditions, subsidy/funding support eligibility, duration, venue and commencement date, ISAustralia Jobcentral conducts an interview to determine if tailored support is required by the participant, including the provision of specialist in-house services to those participants with specific needs.

Participants are required to read and familiarise themselves with ISAustralia Jobcentral’s Participant Handbook and sign & return the Participant Code of Conduct & Talent Release.

DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT

The ISAustralia Jobcentral Participant Handbook provides participants with clear, concise and comprehensive information about assessment.

The assessment for the units includes a theory test, a project and an observation of practical demonstration (unless the participant is eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning RPL).

COURSE AWARD

The participant will receive a nationally recognised Testamur and Record of Result upon successful completion of this course.

Providing all agreed fees have been paid, ISAustralia Jobcentral will issue Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) certification documentation within thirty (30) calendar days of the participant being assessed as meeting the requirements of the training product in which the participant is enrolled.

Those participants that also required to undertake the “CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry” unit will receive a Statement of Attainment upon successfully completing this unit.

VENUE AND COMMENCEMENT DATE

Courses commence at regular intervals and ISAustralia Jobcentral will discuss the most appropriate location/venue and commencement date with each participant prior to enrolment.

FEES, PAYMENT, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ISAustralia Jobcentral will provide the participant prior to enrolment with a Quotation detailing course fees, administration fees, material fees, any other charges and payment options.

Participants must bring their own OR ISAustralia Jobcentral can provide the participant for a fee – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)…….to include Hi-Vis Clothing, Safety Boots, Safety Glasses, Safety Gloves and Sunscreen Protection.

Participants must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills to be enrolled in the course (these skills will be assessed at the Pre-enrolment Interview).

ISAustralia Jobcentral accepts cash, all major credit cards and bank transfers.

ISAustralia Jobcentral accepts payment of up to $1,500.00 prior to the commencement of the course.

The balance owing can be paid throughout the duration of the course, with each payment being to a maximum of $1,500.00.

The balance owing must be paid before a Testamur or Statement of Attainment will be issued.

Commercial terms are offered for Industry or corporate bookings on approval of account.
