Conduct Roller Operations

Course Overview

This course provides participants with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to operate a roller to compact material and it applies to those working in site-based roles.

It is a nationally recognised course that provides training to individuals to safely operate rollers for compacting soil, gravel, and asphalt in civil construction or mining.

This course is delivered by Industries Services Training, trading as IS Australia (RTO 0860) in partnership with LicensingTL. LicensingTL is responsible for the recruitment, enrolment, support and training of participants undertaking this course. Industries Services Training, trading as IS Australia (RTO 0860), is responsible for support, assessment and certification of all participants enrolled in this course.

  • Operate roller in line with established requirements to complete work activity

COURSE DURATION

The full course is delivered over 5 days of training and assessment days. This is an accredited unit of competency that will include a blend of theory, practice and practical assessment.

Entry Requirements

  • Age: Minimum 18 years of age
  • Language/Literacy: Average reading and writing skills
  • Oral Communication
  • Have the necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely
  • A USI is required for those completing the training in Australia; for those completing the course in Timor-Leste an exemption is applied

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for 'RIIMPO317F Conduct roller operations' unit of competency.

Please be advised that this course will not lead to an occupational licensed outcome in Australia. However the Timor-Leste regulator IGEADI does recognise this course under their framework.
